A Few Good Things – Vol. 4

Project Hail Mary

I really liked The Martian. It’s a wonderful book, and author Andy Weir does an amazing job of writing about science and making it relatable and fun. So, naturally, I was excited when Project Hail Mary was released, and I allowed some reviews about the audiobook to sway me into using an Audible credit on it. It’s wonderfully performed, but I struggle listening to fiction audiobooks and where I read The Martian over two nights, I never finished up Project Hail Mary despite owning it for years. Maybe it’s time to actually read the book.

Until then, a trailer for the upcoming movie was released and it looks great!

The Bear Season Four

The Bear returned to television last week and this season is just as wonderful as the rest. Of course, it’s been a few years, so the haters have come out in full force, but I think the show is consistently brilliant and has not wavered in quality at all.

Dennis Villeneuve Directing Bond

I’m excited, yet apprehensive about Amazon taking over the James Bond franchise, but after selecting Dennis Villeneuve as the director my fears has been put to ease. Sure, I’d like to see Christopher Nolan’s version of James Bond as much as the next guy, but it’s hard to argue that Villeneuve is not the perfect choice for bringing Bond into a new era.

Commodore Returns?

I never owned a Commodore, but I’m a fan of the brand and I always love seeing old things come back to life. It looks like Commodore is coming back with familiar faces from the past. I’m interested in seeing how this goes.
